2. User Accounts

• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or misuse the platform.

3. Payments and Fees

A. Service Scope and Charges

We charge a service fee in addition to the U.S. government’s SEVIS I-901 fee. These amounts are displayed clearly before you make a payment.

B. Payment Processing

All payments are processed through third-party providers (e.g., Paystack). We do not store your full card or bank details. You are responsible for ensuring your payment details are correct and your card has sufficient funds.

C. Refund Policy

• The U.S. SEVIS I-901 fee is generally non-refundable per DHS rules.
• Our service fee is non-refundable once we begin processing your payment.
• If you cancel before we process your SEVIS fee, we may refund the SEVIS portion, but the service fee will be retained.
• In the event of a failed transaction after funds are received (e.g., due to system error), we will either resolve the issue or refund the full amount.

4. Your Responsibilities

By using SevisMate, you confirm that:

• All information provided is complete and accurate
• You are not under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum in your jurisdiction)
• You are using the service for lawful purposes
• You understand that incorrect information may lead to delays or rejection of your SEVIS payment

We are not responsible for issues caused by inaccurate data you provide.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unauthorized or illegal purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the Site’s functionality
• Use bots, scripts, or other automated tools to access the platform
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity

We reserve the right to suspend accounts or deny access to users who violate these rules.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, code, logos, images, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any of this content without our written permission.

7. Disclaimer

We are not immigration advisors and cannot guarantee outcomes related to your visa process.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, SevisMate and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. If we are found liable, our total responsibility will not exceed the service fee you paid for the affected transaction.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold SevisMate, its team, and partners harmless from any claims, damages, or losses related to your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law principles. By using the Services, you agree that any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or your use of the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ghana, regardless of your location.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we’ll notify you in advance. Continued use of the Services means you accept the new Terms.
